The Lakeshore Theater will present Chicago-born actor, writer, director and stand-up comedian Michael Ian Black for two nights—July 13 and 14 at 8 p.m.—at the Lakeshore Theater, 3175 N. Broadway. The performance will be recorded for a Comedy Central special.
Black is well-known for his regular role as one of the lead commentators on VH1’s I Love the… series, where he contributes his sharply witty comments on pop-culture throughout the decades. He is also recognizable for his four-year supporting role as bowling alley manager Phil Stubbs on NBC’s hit dramedy, Ed. Also, Black starred opposite Paul Rudd, David Hyde Pierce and Janeane Garofalo in the cult film Wet Hot American Summer; Black played a gay camp counselor.
