The Chicago Red Stars' Makenzy Doniak scored in the second half's stoppage timebut the team ultimately lost to NJ/NY Gotham FC 2-1 at Harrison, New Jersey, on July 25.

Despite not scoring, the Red Stars' Mallory Pugh picked up right where she left off from last week's NWSL Budweiser Player of the Week honors. Pugh finished the game with the team lead in chances created (four), touches (60), crosses (12) and passing accuracy on the opposing half (85.7%). Pugh also finished with two shots and three tackles.
Defensively, Morgan Gautrat finished the game with the team lead in both tackles (six), interceptions (four) and possession gained (15). She would also leave the game with the team lead in total duels (17) and total passes (35), while contributing 54 touches.
The Red Stars return to SeatGeek Stadium to take on the Washington Spirit Sunday, Aug. 1, at 5 p.m. CT on the team's Neighborhood Night.
