Aniara: Odds are that you haven't heard of this 2018 science-fiction film directed by Pella Kagerman and Hugo Lilja. Based on a 1956 poem of the same name, Aniara is an absorbing drama (as well as the name of the spaceship all the passengers travel in)and an important part of this movie concerns a relationship that forms between the Mimarobe (a woman who's in charge of the ship's artificial intelligence, Mima) and Isagel. Yes, it's an "art" film, but it's also captivating and unpredictable.
Hannah's Bretzel Ukrainian fundraiser: On Friday, May 20, Hannah's Bretzel (400 N. LaSalle Dr. and 107 S. Franklin St.) will be donating all proceeds from the day to UNICEF's fundraiser for Ukraine. The place specializes in delicious sandwiches on pretzel (or, rather, bretzelthe German word for pretzel) and many European chocolates.
