The Chicago Sky started the season with two wins, but now have dropped six consecutive gamesthe latest being a 77-74 overtime loss to the Phoenix Mercury on June 3.
The Sky and Mercury finished a two-game series that began June 1. Phoenix's victory was the team's second straight comeback win over the Sky.
Kahleah Copper led the Sky (2-6) with 14 points, while Skylar Diggins-Smith scored 28 points for the Mercury (5-3). Stefanie Dolson recorded her 400th career assist in the first quarter on a layup by Copper; Dolson finished the game with 12 points and two rebounds in her return to action.
Phoenix, playing at home, ended the game on a 5-0 run to send the game into overtime.
The Sky will continue their road trip with a June 5 visit to Los Angeles to play the Sparks at 2 p.m. CT.
