Windy City Queercast Hosts Mainstream Stars

Guests Include: TV's 'Mad Men' Star Bryan Batt, Indigo Girls' Amy Ray

August 5, 2008 — Windy City Queercast, a product of Windy City Media Group in Chicago, is kicking up the volume this month as they pack the bi-weekly shows ( no pun intended ) with mainstream stars of TV and music.

Host Amy Matheny is joined on the web waves ( show 229 ) with actor Bryan Batt from AMC TV's hottest and Emmy-nominated new show, Mad Men. Batt talks about how he turned down his Mad Men audition to go to Paris, smoking on the show and his love of New Orleans and his furniture shop there. Batt has starred in La Cage Aux Folles, Sunset Boulevard as well as played opposite Patrick Stewart in the movie Jeffrey.

Show 230 features nationally acclaimed singer Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls. She talks with Matheny about her solo career, her new CD 'Didn't It Feel Kinder' which is released August 5th and her never-ending energy.

Each week Windy City Queercast rolls out two shows filled with a variety of guest co-hosts including Colman Domingo of Logo's The Big Gay Sketch Show, Kelli Simpkins of The Laramie Project and Deb Pearce of Proud FM Toronto Radio. Other guest co-hosts can be found on www.WindyCityQueercast.com .

Listeners can tune into the show directly from the website www.WindyCityQueercast.com or they can subscribe to the show which allows them to get new shows directly downloaded to them for use with their MP3 Player.
