The Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago has elected its 2001 board of directors, with three veterans staying on and three new candidates joining the leadership of the organization.
“The overlap of tenure will help to maintain the continuity we’ve enjoyed for the past fifteen years,” returning president Susana Darwin says, “and we look forward to the contributions of our new colleagues.”
New board member Mary Anderson is currently a Skadden Fellow at the Law Project of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. Susana Darwin recently joined digital music start-up FullAudio Corporation as Executive Producer of Music Services. New board member John Ehrlich is currently a Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago. Jim Schwartz, another founding member, is in private practice and serves as president of the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association and as a board member of AIDS Legal Council of Chicago. New board member Kelly Skalicky recently left the Chicago Board of Education, where she served in the Affirmative Litigation Division. She has started a private practice.
