It was great to see more women at the opening of “bonbon,” Miss Tiger’s new erotic cabaret show at the Bijou. The Bijou is definitely the way cool place to be these days. Alexandra Billings and Honey West attended the opening of Pyramids of Penis, the last show, and this time the Chicago Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce turned out in force.

Joe Sprague managed to behave himself; there were some ladies present. I don’t usually spread gossip about respectable and prominent members of our community, but I’ve heard that Mr. Sprague has the moral restraint of a crack whore at a bachelor party. I don’t know if it’s true, it’s just something I heard. I could be wrong … and where was Larry, the Chamber’s yummy bear?

Miss Tiger’s shows get better and better, and “bonbon” is the best so far. When Christian walked out on stage wearing a leather cap, I just about creamed my jeans; I don’t think there was a dry pair of knickers in the house … except for Jen Earls’ and her girlfriend’s. (Assuming they were wearing knickers.)

You can find out more about Miss Tiger’s show by calling 312-409-8100 and looking for their ads in Windy City Times. I could go on and on and on and on about the gorgeous Dakota, but I have to save some space in the column for other things …

Drove out to Temptations at 10235 W. Grand for Miss Tee’s Tacky Thursday Dating Game Show. Microphone problems actually added to the fun and games. Miss Tee has a razor-sharp tongue; I hear she does backstreet circumcisions with it.

This event has only just started, so it was a small crowd this time out. Bumped into Woody, the publisher of Hotspots Magazine, who are sponsoring the show. What a cutie …

I’ve had some fun nights at Temptations, like the first time the H.I.S. Kings came to town, and I also remember a great drag show there with Anna-Marie and Lotta Balls. Let me know if there are any drag king shows coming up.

A bunch of us went to the Hothouse last week. My friend Martin was over from England, and also his brother, Gerard, was in town; Gerard’s company is the world’s leading manufacturer of miniature toy soldiers. He was here for a toy convention. And yes, they do allow gays and lesbians into the toy military.

We were there for the Feast of Fools “Click and Drag: A Cabaret About The Internet.” Sadly, the real star of the show, Victoria Lamarr, was not on the bill—is she OK? Joseph Ravens and Matthew Hollis were excellent as always, both keeping the spirit of the Radical Faeries in the show.

The heterosexual yuppie audience seemed to be enjoying the freak show.

Michael Pacas phoned me last week to tell me he’s appearing in A Hotel on Marvin Gardens by Nagle Jackson. It’s a play about Monopoly. Pacas portrays Henry in a comedy of manners about greed, success, and the search for something else. It wouldn’t be about “nude” Monopoly would it? Pity! You can find out what else Michael is up to by visiting www.pacas.ws

The play runs thru April 1. Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m. Sundays 3 p.m. at The Athenaeum Theatre. Box office 773-935 6860.
