More than a dozen GLBT and supportive youth were honored last week by the Chicago chapter of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. The 6th annual Youth Scholarships and Awards included presentations from GLSEN, TNT Bankers, Chicago Professional Networking Association, FUEL Youth, Affinity, Exelon/ComEd Pride, the Barajas-Reese Latino Youth Scholarship, and the Aixa Diaz Latina Youth Scholarship. There was also the annual Youth Speakout, an exciting opportunity to hear from youth about their own experiences and goals. 1. Barajas/Reese winner Tony Alvarado. 2.
