Chicago Mayor Richard Daley held his annual Gay and Lesbian Pride reception June 6, in a packed room at the Chicago Cultural Center. Hundreds of activists and business leaders attended, as the Mayor boasted his recent victory in having the Henry Gerber home designated a landmark and the acquisition of the community center property by Horizons. Daley, to loud and sustained applause, also gave his strong support to the efforts to bring the Gay Games to the Windy City in 2006.
