The Chicago chapter of the October 22nd Coalition has approved a resolution expressing dismay that GLBTs were left off of the list for this year’s national demonstration.
In the resolution, the chapter notes several incidents of anti-GLBT police violence in the city, including those involving Jeffrey Lyons, Kentin Waits and Terry Phalen.
The resolution asks that the omission be corrected that that “the concerns be adequately addressed in a revised call and future programming around the country.” It has been forwarded to the national steering committee.
