More than 1,500 cyclists and 600 crew and staff members participated in Tangueray’s Heartland AIDSRide, ending Saturday afternoon at Montrose Harbor in Chicago. The riders started in Minneapolis and completed their 500-mile journey on the North Side after raising an estimated $5.7 million for AIDS services in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. The closing ceremonies included the traditional riderless bicycle, representing those lost to AIDS and others who could not participate. Photos by Israel Wright
