United Airlines is facing a lawsuit for more than $50,000 from Sara West, aka Richard Ward, who was ousted from a flight when airline employees insisted that West leave the flight and change into “male” clothes…to match the gender shown on West’s British passport.
West had produced a letter from her doctor explaining that West is undergoing treatment for “male to female transsexualism.”
The lawsuit was filed Sept. 4 in Cook County Circuit Court…West had been seated on a flight from Omaha to Chicago and had been scheduled to take a connecting flight to London. West also said she was humiliated by comments made by employees.
