Third Watch … The Third Watch TV show had a very interesting plot recently. Dykey (but married to a man) cop Faith Yokas (Molly Price) and her macho partner took a domestic abuse call, and it turned out to be an old school friend of Faith’s—a female whose female partner abused her. The two cops treated the case professionally, but Faith also started having some emotional responses indicating something more was there from her past. She told her partner she’d dropped out of college to get married—and it certainly seemed it might have been she was running from her friend Claire (Olivia Birkelund). Claire leaves her abuser—who comes to the station to ask the cop if she’s happy now. The partner basically says she’s glad she met the cop to find out she’s not all that—meaning she’d been jealous all these years since Claire pined for the cop. The cop also clearly still had feelings. Subtle and very well executed—more later??
