Chicago MSA (Metropolitan Sports Association) Women’s 11′ Softball League announces membership into NAGAAA, otherwise known as the Gay World Series. Chicago MSA representatives Nancy MacKenzie, Women’s Softball Commissioner, and Luella Gesky and Elana Mendelson, Women’s Softball Board of Directors, went to Washington, D.C., to bid for membership into NAGAAA (North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance). CMSA was unanimously voted in and also holds the record for the biggest Women’s League in NAGAAA with 36 teams and growing.
NAGAAA women’s division is comprised of women’s teams and as of February 2003 is comprised of three divisions—a competitive, an alternative, and now a recreational.
