Former pro baseball plater Billy Bean is expected to be the grand marshall for Chicago’s Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade Sunday, June 29.
The sexy star of Star Wars and Moulin Rouge, Ewan McGregor, says he prefers playing gay characters, reports the Daily Record. McGregor, who has two children with his wife Eve, has a long run of playing gay characters. From Velvet Goldmine and The Pillow Book, to his newest film, Down with Love, co-starring Frasier co-star David Hyde Pierce, McGregor says he doesn’t have the hang-ups American actors have about playing gay.
Bruce Vilanch joined several other gay amusement park fans at Disneyland in Anaheim, Ca. according to the Advocate. April 5 marks ‘Gay Day 2.5,’ a mini-Gay Day at Disney Co.’s smaller amusement park. This day, too, is not sanctioned by the park, but encourages gay people to join their friends in wearing red shirts to show solidarity. The ‘official’ Gay Day at Disneyland is in October.
