A quarter of a century ago the Gay Athletic Association (GAA) was formed as a Sunday afternoon co-ed 16′ softball league. Twenty-five years later it has evolved into Chicago Metropolitan Sports Association, one of the oldest and largest organizations of its kind in the country.
Today, this not-for-profit, all-volunteer LGBT multi-sport organization features 14 leagues spanning five sports. Chicago MSA has also cultivated a national presence in tournament play, and in 2003 CMSA will host hundreds of people from around the U.S. in five national tournaments.
It’s time for the old Razzle Dazzle. Chicago MSA is turning 25 in style and celebrating at the Vic Theater Saturday, May 17. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 10:30 p.m. CMSA is offering up an evening with food and some free drinks, fabulous giveaways and two performances from Chicago the musical that will blow you away. This event is one to surely go down in the history books of CMSA.
Members have already received invitations in the mail. Invitations are required for admission. Guests are welcome for a $10 donation. Go to www.chicagomsa.com for more information.
