On Friday, June 27, 2003, Center on Halsted will host its ‘Centered on Pride’ at the future Center’s location on the corner of Waveland and Halsted, from 6-11 p.m.
This year’s event will feature carnival games. There will be food, music, a DJ, and entertainment including the Chicago Kings.
Other highlights of the evening include: special children’s story time presented by the Gerber/Hart Library, salsa dance lessons thanks to Amigas Latinas and Association of Latino Men in Action, and face painting and hair braiding provided by Femme to Femme.
