Chicago is making history with the announcement that the Jewish Lesbian and Gay Fund, a donor-advised field of interest fund which is the first of its kind, has awarded its first grants. They have granted $50,000 to agencies for programs in Chicago’s Jewish lesbian and gay community, and in Israel.
Fundraisers continue for the Lesbian Community Cancer Project. More than $22,000 was raised in a benefit at the home of Nan Schaffer and Dima Elissa with a backdrop of the lakefront fireworks.
