The Minority Outreach Intervention Project has made permanent a move that had been temporary—they are closed. Facing months of controversy around its use of grant funds, the agency closed Feb. 11—they accepted Executive Director Brandon Armani’s resignation Feb. 18.
Now, with major funding lost from the Chicago Dept. of Public Health, the board voted to discontinue and has been working with Taskforce AIDS Prevention to take over existing office space and programs.
