Frontrunners/Frontwalkers Chicago hosted the 22nd Annual Proud to Run race last Saturday morning. The 5K, 10K and fun walk benefitted Pride Youth and Gerber/Hart Library this year. Former baseball pro Billy Bean, in town to lead off Chicago’s 34th annual Pride Parade Sunday, ran the race. The 5K men’s winners were Roger Bashore, Michael Zartman, Jason Wolbers and Ian Griffin. Women’s winners were Lori Condie, Jennifer Robinson, Alana Stamas and Patty Doverad. In the 10K, for women, winners were Kerry Lee, Melanie Henderson and Melissa Lapp. For the men, winners were Chris Wehrman, Paul Dyba and Tim Fox. Photos by Mel Ferrand
