The Chicago Force lost 47-7 in the conference championship game last weekend against the Sacramento Sirens. In their first season, the Force pro women’s football team did Chicago proud, going undefeated until last Saturday’s game. In the hottest game of the year, the Sirens defeated the Force to take the Western Conference Title. The leagues Web site stated: ‘Sirens Running Back #22 Julie Wicher had an outstanding day with 172 yards rushing and 3 TDs. Sirens offense racked up an impressive 468 yards rushing on the day. The Force’s only TD came in the second quarter on a short run by #83 Stacy Paller. The Sirens advance to the Championship against the NY Sharks (who defeated the Warriors) on July 12 at St. John’s University in Queens NY.
