On Friday, July 18, don’t go home after work. There’s a roomful of men waiting for you and we’re all going on an adventure. It’s the MORE FOR GAY MEN Summer Gathering and it’s one night where men will take a stand for discovering new ways of looking at our culture and being in the world.
Bars, one-night stands, relationships that are superficial or don’t last, too much eating, too much smoking, too much drinking, too much sex, not enough intimacy—these are some of the complaints and issues that we often hear gay men talk about. The evening is an opportunity to learn about and even nourish your deeper hungers.
The evening’s presenters are David Nimmons and Judith Wright. David will lead men on a ‘loving disturbance, a short field trip and opportunity to change the way we engage with other gay men.’
Judith will take participants on an inward journey toward your deeper wants and desires.
‘Join us for this exciting follow-up to our winter conference,’ said organizers. ‘This rich workshop will inspire us through Judith to have more life, love, and meaning in our lives and with David we can harness the power of our gayness and make a difference in the world.’
Judith Wright is the co-founder of the Wright Institute for Lifelong Learning and author of the national bestseller There Must Be More Than This. She is an internationally recognized author, life coach, and seminar leader and the country’s top expert on ‘soft addictions’—those seemingly harmless habits that may actually keep us from creating more meaningful lives.
David Nimmons is the founder of Manifest Love, which offers a new vision for our lives together as gay men. He is the author of The Soul Beneath the Skin, a landmark study of gay culture and its effects on the whole of society. His mission is to encourage gay men to be their best and most powerful selves.
