An early morning fire Sept. 9 did significant damage to the roof of the building housing Test Positive Aware Network and several political offices, at 5537 N. Broadway. While arson is suspected, it is not clear if the attack was random or was aimed specifically at TPAN or the politicians.
Jeff Allen of TPAN reports that there was extensive water damage to part of their space, but that a quick Fire Department response prevented even more damage to the one-story structure. TPAN is located in the back of the building, where the fire was located.
