The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce and the Law Offices of Jill M. Metz and Associates present the first annual “Andersonville Arts Smorgasbord” Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19. The weekend is a celebration of Andersonville’s vibrant arts scene, showcasing more than 80 visual and performing artists.
The Andersonville Arts Smorgasbord will include a self-guided art walk, featuring work from more than 60 visual artists shown throughout the neighborhood in galleries, restaurants, retail stores and other traditional and non-traditional art spaces. In addition to the art walk, the Smorgasbord will present a wide variety of live performances by neighborhood musicians, theatres, poets and others. A Smorgasbord wouldn’t be complete without food, so many Andersonville eateries will be offering special discounts to Smorgasbord patrons.
For a complete Andersonville Arts Smorgasbord schedule, please see www.andersonville.org or call (773) 728-2995. Detailed event brochures are available throughout the neighborhood.
The Andersonville Arts Smorgasbord is part of Chicago Artists’ Month, the eighth annual celebration of Chicago’s vibrant visual art community. Call (312) 744-6630 or visit www.cityofchicago.org/CulturalAffairs.
