In last week’s Windy City Times story on the Columbia College Office of Student Affairs hiring of Courtney Arnold as the new coordinator in the Office of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Student Concerns, we incorrectly stated how Columbia professor Victoria Shannon, who initiated the post, departed the position. Her contract was not renewed by the school, causing protest letters from students, faculty, and supporters in the Chicago GLBT academic and activist community.
