More than 200 supporters attended the Chicago House Oktoberfest at Hydrate, binging on brats, beer and bachelors (during the auction). This year’s Oktoberfest celebration helped raise more than $7,500 in support of the programs and services Chicago House provides to area men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS. ‘We wish to extend a thank you to our generous Oktoberfest sponsors: Jewell Events Catering, Goose Island Beer, VOX, Boystownchicago.com, Windy City Media Group, and Orbitz. We encourage you to patronize these businesses year-round so they can, in turn, continue to support Chicago House’s mission,’ the agency stated. ‘A special thank you to Hydrate, our most generous host.’ Chicago House Executive Director Rev. Stan Sloan was one of the bachelors auctioned, with support from auctioneer Jim Petzing, who is also on the agency’s board.
