Personal PAC’s 10th Annual Awards Luncheon was Nov. 7 downtown. Headed by Terry Cosgrove, Personal PAC is one of the most effective pro-choice organizations in the U.S. Kerry Kennedy Cuomo was special guest speaker. Irving and Joan Harris received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and novelist Sara Paretsky received the Pro-Choice Leadership Award. Cuomo has been working in human rights since 1981 and has led more than 40 rights delegations to more than 30 countries. In 1987, she established the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights to ensure the protection of rights codified under the U.N. Declaration of Human Rights.
