OK, talk about ‘Similar Features.’ Melissa Etheridge and Julie Cypher were on the cover of Newsweek Nov. 4, 1996. The Jan. 20, 2004 Advocate cover features Etheridge—still obviously a ‘top’—with new gal Tammy Lynn Michaels (who guests on Showtime’s The L Word, which premieres Jan. 18). Etheridge has a new CD, Lucky, out Feb. 10 and is doing four solo shows March 18-21 at House of Blues in Chicago.
