The Illinois Family Institute would like to not only stop gay rights, they want to tell us who we can have as sponsors.
In a report on the Equality Illinois Gala, they noted that one of the key sponsors is Steamworks, a men’s bathhouse ‘that represents a side of the homosexual lifestyle that is seldom mentioned by ‘gay’ advocates but which exemplifies the seamy and sad reality of this dangerously unhealthy lifestyle. Steamworks is what has traditionally been known as a ‘gay bathhouse.’ It bills itself as ‘a private men’s club for adults’ featuring ‘a full gym, sauna, steam room, private rooms, showers and a full-size man-packed hot tub.’ As you might imagine, this ‘gym’ is a bit different from most; in fact, Steamworks’ website also shows men engaging in sodomitic encounters,’ the posting stated.
‘Instead of taking money from homosexual bathhouses and profiting from gay promiscuity, Rick Garcia and Equality Illinois ought to join with other Illinoisans and put this anonymous sex club out of business,’ said IFI’s Peter LaBarbera. ‘What greater proof is there that the homosexual agenda is really about human wrongs, not ‘civil rights’? … It’s a shame that bathhouses are so lethal that they are banned in San Francisco, but one is thriving right here in Chicago. I urge Mayor Daley to stop pandering to the ‘gay’ lobby and shut down Steamworks as a public health hazard.’
We wonder if LaBarbera did his own hands-on research for this report. We also wonder if he is investigating the heterosexual ‘lifestyle’ to make sure they deserve their rights, too.
