Having moved here less than two years ago from Arizona to pursue her passion for comedy, Tamale has become a regular sight around Chicago. After completing her BS in Agriculture, she packed up her platform shoes and tiaras and stomped all the way to our local scene. Eventually, she plans to earn an MFA through the Chicago Art Institute and become spectacularly wealthy as a comedian. She is in the final stages of writing a one-woman show and is currently working her way through Second City’s conservatory program. Be it performing comedy, dancing at various parties, or combining both to entice audiences in burlesque shows, she can be found causing mischief at the following venues:

Catch her in The Electric Kissing Party as they perform Sunday nights upstairs at Improv Olympic ($5/tickets by 7:00 pm until Feb 15th).  You can also catch her performing with various Chicago groups including Chix Mix (1st & 3rd Fridays at Circuit), Dominatrix Waitrix (every 2nd Sunday at Big Wig), and Heartless Bitch Entertainment Parties (every 2nd Saturday at Spin starting in March).  The Sissy Butch Brothers Gurlesque Burlesque shows continue to be among her favorites.

Tamale is proud to have been invited to join the Chicago Performers Exporting Gender-blending (CPEG) as they prepare for the 2004 Dublin, Ireland Performer’s Exchange. The Chicago group will be spending a week in March performing for the nationally advertised 3rd Annual ALAF (A Lesbian Arts Festival). Fundraising efforts for this groundbreaking program need to be supported by your patronage at their Guest Bartender Spots at T’s (February 4th and 19th). Any questions on sponsorship or about CPEG can be directed to MelRapp75@aol.com. More information on CPEG can be found online at dykediva.com. In October, the Irish troupe will travel to Chicago to perform for American Audiences. Keep your eyes open for this exciting show!
