The Rainbow Sash Movement will be entering Cathedrals and Parishes across the country on Pentecost Sunday, May 30. In Chicago the Rainbow Sash Movement is looking for volunteers to wear the Rainbow Sash and join them as they enter Holy Name Cathedral on Pentecost Sunday. ‘We will enter the Cathedral as Catholics should with prayer-full respect,’ the group said. ‘We will wear a Rainbow Sash signifying our dignity as gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender people.’
‘We are deeply saddened with Cardinal George; he has decided not to follow through on his commitments to the Rainbow Sash Movement,’ the group stated.
