With the beginning of the season of the Chicago Force (chicagoforcefootball.com) under way and the recent win by Chicago for the 2006 Gay Games (ChicagoGamesInc.org), I reminded myself why I love women’s sports so much. I swam competitively from the age of 5 until twenty, so I really look forward to competing again with a team that I’m certain are all

lesbians. I also love watching games, too. I fondly remember watching my first Women’s NCAA basketball game with my college girlfriend at the University of Michigan (we went to Eastern Michigan University). It was the first time we had ever seen so many lesbians in one place. I don’t recall anything about the actual game because of the babe watching we did. Now we have so many women’s sports to choose from! So I came up with my favorite things about women’s sports. So, Strap This On:

The Top Ten Reasons Why Women’s Sports Rock

10) The locker rooms. Dressing, undressing, dropping towels, mirrors. It all works for me.

9) The sponsors. Windy City Media Group, Bud Light, Subaru, Stargaze. The free drinks, t-shirts, water bottles, etc. The operative word being free.

8) The parties. Nothing like a group of dykes unwinding after a hard day of competing. Hey, I’ll tap that keg.

7) The victory hugs. Or in the case of the women’s soccer, the public

disrobing.

6) Hook-ups. Always

having plenty of women to choose from for a date or in my case, watching all of the women hooking up.

5) The showers. Here, you missed a spot on your back. Let me rinse that soap off for you.

4) Reunions. The lesbian reunions in the crowds. Nothing like seeing

ex-girlfriends trying to avoid one another or

trying to sneak some time while the new girl isn’t looking.

3) Physical contact. The pats on the behind and the chest bumping. Oh, and the actual playing of your sport of choice.

2) The hot bodies. Women, straight, gay or bi, all in some of the best physical shape of their lives. Sweating. I like my seat right down in front.

1) The actual playing of the sport. Keeping in shape only improves your stamina and breath

control. I’m about to go dive in right now.
