For the month of June at the Soul Cafe, 1301 W. Hollywood, at Ridge and Hollywood, will host Men on Men—Gay Male Chicago Artists Depict the Male Figure, with Brian Justice, Frank Fruzyna, Joey Wozniak, and Jason Messinger. Free reception with the artists and curator Wednesday, June 9, 7 p.m.
Celebrating Gay Pride month, curator and artist Jason Messinger presents a show of Chicago gay male artists. Working in a variety of stylistic approaches, but with a common desire, the artists depict the male forms as natural, sensual, and joyful.
All artists donate artwork to Art Against AIDS, a fundraising event for the AIDS outreach programming for Heartland Alliance.
