The Human Rights Campaign announced that Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, ER’s Laura Innes and Human Rights Campaign President and Executive Director Cheryl Jacques will be the featured speakers at the Illinois HRC Gala dinner, Turning Point, June 19, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

‘We have chosen Turning Point as the theme of the 2004 event,’ said dinner Co-Chair, John Roche. ‘We are experiencing a ‘turning point’ in the fight for equality for the gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender (GLBT) community. It is important that we stand strong for our rights as Americans during this historic time.’ Honorees include DuPage County community activist Sally Howland, and Hyatt Corporation, which rates a perfect score in HRC’s Corporate Equality Index, a measure of how equitably companies are treating their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors. Tickets for the dinner may be purchased at boxofficetickets.com/hrc or by calling 800/494-TIXS(8497).
