Theater-goers have a rare opportunity to see, and hear, a play by the great, gay Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca in its original tongue. Lorca’s tragedy Bodas de Sangre is being performed in Spanish by Aguijon Theater, 2707 N. Laramie. Familiar under the English title Blood Wedding, it concerns the conflict between duty and passion of a young woman about to marry a man she does not love. Bodas de Sangre will be part of the Goodman Theatre’s Latino Theatre Festival in July. Aguijon Theater also presents works in English, and often presents musical evenings featuring international Latino artists. (773) 637-5899: $15.
