At the age of 29, Kirk Williamson has really carved out his niche in the GLBT publishing world. As managing editor of Nightspots Magazine, a weekly 4-color nightlife and entertainment guide, his duties include photography, graphic design, advertising sales, writing and pretty much everything else the job calls for. Kirk has been working for Windy City Media Group for three and a half years and also is a senior account manager for Windy City Times, Identity, OUT! and Windy City Radio.

Kirk has been active in the local queer poetry performance circuit in Chicago. He was a regular reader at The Grinder (now Homolatte) hosted by Scott Free. He also helped start a popular poetry game show ‘Faster Poet, Spill, Spill!’ with fellow poets JT Newman and Jason Schupp.

Kirk is currently single and shares a lovely one-bedroom in Rogers Park with his two cats, Iggy and Boxer.
