The Adler School of Professional Psychology recently presented the AIDS Foundation of Chicago with a donation of $5,300. The gift represents a $15 contribution for each individual in attendance at the inauguration of Dr. Raymond E. Crossman, the School’s new president.

AFC, meanwhile, has awarded $120,000 to 12 churches and faith-based organizations as part of the its new Faith in Prevention initiative, which aims to reduce the impact of HIV and AIDS on the health of African-American men and women in Chicago. The U.S. Office of Minority Health is funding the initiative as part of a special grant secured by U.S. Senator Dick Durbin, D-Ill.
