In its first post-Broadway production, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard casts its long shadows across the stage of the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, with leading local diva Paula Scrofano as Norma Desmond and John Reeger as her butler (and former husband) Max. Some love Sir Andrew’s work, others loath it. Sunset Boulevard is one of his best scores, musically rich and surprisingly jazz-influenced. The tale, of course, is a 1950’s noir drama about an aging silent movie queen, her young stud lover and the Hollywood game of reality vs. illusion. Through Nov. 7; (847) 634-0200; $40.00.
