Hedda Lettuce, premiere drag comedienne, makes her Chicago debut, as part of ‘Get Your DICK on Route 66’ tour for CRUISING for SEX. The event, an evening of ‘Martinis, Models & Masseurs’ will showcase Hedda’s views of everyday slices of life as Chicago’s finest ‘models’ and their fans mix and mingle.
Hedda Lettuce, who reigns at comedy venues in New York and Provincetown, has appeared in HBO’s Sex and the City, Comedy Central and elsewhere. Steven Polito, who created the character of Hedda Lettuce in 1994, needed not only a look—but a voice. Polito says, ‘Most people think Drag Queens lip-synch, not Hedda, she uses her own voice, has her own identity.’
Hedda Lettuce will blend her unique voice in satire and lyrics on Thursday, Oct. 14, 8 p.m. at @mosphere, 5355 N Clark.
