Amigas Latinas held their annual Aixa Diaz scholarship dinner last weekend, and surprise guest was national poetry slam champion Staceyann Chin (right), in town for this weekend’s DEF Poetry Jam. At left is Argentinian artist Mabel Vilner, who donated a work to the event—won by Bibiana Andrade (pictured with the artist). The event raises funds for scholarships going to Latina youth.
