At the Metropolis Centre in downtown Arlington Heights, last year’s biggest hit was The Vagina Monologues, which ran for five months. Let’s not beat around the bush: the Northwest ‘burbs couldn’t get enough of it, so The Vagina Monologues reopens tonight for another five-month run, through June 29. Performed by three women, Eve Ensler’s show is based on interviews with scores of women, young and old. It’s by turns funny, angry, joyous, daunting, sad, Bashful and Doc. Women love it and men should see it, even gay men. It may not complete a gay man’s education, but it will help. 111 W. Campbell St. (847) 577-2121; $25. PICTURED: Returning cast members are Melissa Fosse-Dunne, Tanya Canaday and Lucinda Johnston. Robin M. Hughes (not pictured) is new to the cast.
