Police officers Judy Jensen and Jose Rios, along with Sean Smith from Howard Brown Health Center, canvassed bars and businesses April 29 to distribute anti-meth stickers and posters. The items will identify business as ‘meth-free zones.’
In an e-mail, Art Johnston, who recently hosted a crystal meth forum for bar owners at Sidetrack, expressed his hope that the stickers and posters will lead customers to think twice about the drug.
He also said he hoped that they will provide a way for patrons to connect with the Crystal Clear treatment program at Howard Brown Health Center, 4025 N. Sheridan.
