The sold-out benefit featured red-carpet-inspired fashions from Marshall Field’s Water Tower Place, Frette, His Stuff, and Celeste Turner. There were also a raffle, silent auction, and even a flower market.
Joey Iacopelli and Shane Shafer co-chaired the event. In addition to the previously mentioned goings-on, the Illinois Department of Public Health received the annual Spirit Award while Tony Reale was honored as development volunteer of the year.
The Reverend Stan Sloan, CEO of Chicago House, thanked the attendees and sponsors by stating that, without them, Chicago House ‘couldn’t serve those in most need. There are 38 million persons worldwide infected with HIV and we manage to serve only 250 of them. A small number compared to the millions in need, but undeniably Chicago House makes a difference to each and every one of them.’
Presenting sponsors included Starbucks Coffee, Bacardi, Orbitz, and Jayson Home & Garden.
