The 5th Annual Outmusic Awards show was held at the Chicago Cultural Center on June 12. Co-hosted by entertainers Lea DeLaria and Jinx Titanic, the event, which attracted approximately 100 people, featured several live performances by nominated artists. Local talent was on display and two Chicagoans [Dylan Rice and Scott Free] took top honors in their categories.

The winners were:

New Recording (female): Adrianne, 10,000 Stones

New Recording (Duo or Group): Zrazy, Dream On

New Recording (Chorus or Choir): San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, Closer Than Ever

New Recording (Instrumental): Jennifer Higdon, City Scape & Concerto for Orchestra

Debut Recording (female): Kitty Rose, Kitty Rose Greatest Hits

Debut Recording (male): Dylan Rice, Wandering Eyes

Producer: Rocco Kaiytos for Katastrophe’s Let’s F*ck Then Talk About My Problems

Songwriter: Rachael Sage for her Ballads & Burlesque CD

Outsong of the Year: Another Day of Cruelty by Scott Free
