James J. Pacini, 38, a real estate attorney and agent who resides on the 900 block of West Barry, was arrested June 10 at his home for possessing various drugs, including crystal meth.
The Chicago Police Department’s news affairs division informed Windy City Times that Pacini faces three charges of possessing controlled substances and one charge of cannabis (marijuana) possession. According to the department, police found crystal meth (street value: $4,000), Ecstasy ($2,500) and the date-rape drug GHB ($2,400) in addition to the marijuana ($20).
23rd District Police Commander Gary Yamashiroya commented to WBBM that Pacini is only charged with possession of controlled substances; he has not been charged with intent to sell. ‘It’s a very significant quantity of drugs. It appears to be more than someone would have for personal consumption, so we can speculate,’ said Yamashiroya.
Calls to Pacini’s home were not returned.
