Moises Villada, 21, is president of RU Proud, Roosevelt University’s LGBTQA student group, for the fourth and final year. This academic year, he was head coordinator of RU’s National Coming Out Day celebrations, Holiday Toy Drive, and RU Proud’s Variety Show Benefit; he is also currently organizing RU Proud’s attendance at the annual pride parade. Also, he has worked with About Face Youth Theatre since 2003 as an actor, writer, facilitator, and a Youth Leadership Council member. This summer he will be creating workshops with other youth, he will be actively involved with the adult staff, and interview youth for the group’s ‘Home Project.’ Lastly, he has been volunteering with PFLAG En Espanol, the only Spanish-speaking support group for Latino parents in the Midwest, since its 2004 inception.
