‘That’s So Gay’ art exhibit opens Friday, June 24, 5:30-8:30 p.m. THAT’s SO GAY is a nationally touring art exhibit that expresses pride in LGBT families through the artistic and creative eyes of the children. The exhibit first started in San Francisco as part of COLAGE’s youth development program. With each stop of the tour, the host city adds artwork from local families. COLAGE (Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere) is a well-respected and influential youth-led national not-for-profit organization that offers support and activism by and for people with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender parents.

The show will be hosted by the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, 325 N. Wells, 4th Floor. A children’s art class will be held during the event. In addition, a panel of Chicagoland teens and adults with gay and lesbian parents will be available to answer questions and talk about their experiences growing up with LGBT parents. A silent auction will be held at the end of the evening for a variety of special prizes and services. The first 25 people to place bids on items with receive a FREE copy of Abigail Garner’s new book Families Like Mine: Children of gay parents tell it like it is! They will also be showing the documentary Our House featuring LGBT families all across the country.
