VOX® Vodka and Out magazine have announced an open call for the best emerging talent in the style and design industry for this year’s annual VOX/Out Voices of Style + Design Awards. The highly respected industry award was created in 2001 by the two entities to honor openly gay and lesbian individuals whose works are associated with style, vision and design.

To commemorate its fifth year, VOX and Out plan to recognize artists and designers who are just beginning to establish a name for themselves. In celebration, this year’s honorees will be receiving the first-ever VOX/Out Emerging Voices of Style + Design Award. Consumers can nominate their favorite local up-and-coming gay or lesbian artists in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami or Philadelphia through Aug. 15 by visiting www.voxvodka.com.

This year, editors of Out and a prestigious panel of past VOX/Out recipients will select one winner in each of the five cities to be acknowledged during the award ceremonies. Past recipients of the prestigious VOX/Out award have included Todd Oldham (New York), Nate Berkus (Chicago), and Chip Conley (San Francisco). Last year, interior designers and business partners David Kaufman and Tom Segal of Chicago received the VOX/Out Voices of Style+Design Award.

Through the VOX/Out Awards Sweepstakes, consumers can also enter for a chance to win a trip for two to attend the high style VOX/Out Emerging Voices of Style + Design Awards in Miami in September. The prize includes: airfare, five-star accommodations in Miami and two tickets to attend the VOX/Out Emerging Voices of Style + Design Awards. Complete official rules are available online at www.voxvodka.com/voxoutawards.
