The Chicago-based organizations International Association of Physicians in AIDS Care (IAPAC) and Test Positive Aware Network (TPAN) announced the signing of an agreement to partner in providing education to and expanding reach within the various HIV/AIDS communities in the United States.
IAPAC, which provides medical education to HIV-treating physicians and allied healthcare professionals, has been expanding its educational efforts to reach patients directly. IAPAC produces numerous patient-related publications on a variety of HIV/AIDS-related topics.
TPAN reaches HIV-positive people nationwide through its publication, Positively Aware, which is published bimonthly. TPAN also conducts regular forums for patients and physicians on a variety of HIV-related topics.
The agreement covers a variety of activities, such as the inclusion of IAPAC materials into Positively Aware and the expanded distribution of Positively Aware to all IAPAC members.
