Friends and family of Chicago activist Renae Ogletree are celebrating her birthday Sunday, Aug. 7 with a benefit to help cover her recent medical expenses. Ogletree is a long-time community activist and inductee in the city’s Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame. She is currently a board member of Gay Games VII, Chicago Games, Inc., and is a supporter and advocate for dozens of causes and groups.
